45. You May Not Be Behind But You Are Losing Time
As much as I love Gary Vee, this is where we come up at opposite ends, because as much as he is correct in saying you have more than enough time to be who you want to be, I disagree with the idea that at age thirty-six you are still a baby.
Once you've passed age thirty, you should have your foot on the gas and be going full speed ahead.
That isn't me saying you should have it all figured out, because newsflash, nobody ever has it all figured out. However, you should definitely know enough to make quick decisions, even if they don't take you to your destination.
Of course, this is all relative to what you want out of life. If your dream is to live what society would deem as a pretty average and ordinary life of clocking in, clocking out, one holiday a year, see a friend on the Saturday, spend Sundays with family and then the routine starts all over again, then yes, you do have plenty of time to figure it out.
For those who want to live an extraordinary life, one where you live in your dream home in the UK, with perhaps an apartment in Tribeca, driving a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, which you park in the Harrods car park for some retail therapy on an average Wednesday, before heading over to the Peninsula to check in with clients on a Zoom call who you only have to communicate with once a week leaving the rest of the week free to do whatever you want such as travelling everywhere between Tokyo, Switzerland and Rio all because you spent a few years building systems that run on autopilot…that needs your attention, now!
Why would you wait? Why would you slow down?
I think it may have happened somewhere between the rise of wellness culture and the conversation around burnout when the idea of 'you're not behind' became a method of self-soothing. And who knows, perhaps my disagreement with that notion makes this article a toxic one.
Yet, we started treating the idea of speeding towards our dream life as a problem, as if moving aggressively to what we want is a symptom of disaster, but what is the alternative?
In this article, we'll explore why speed, real speed, the kind that comes from knowing what to do next rather than panicking, is still one of the best advantages ambitious women have, and why the shift toward accepting delay has cost us more than we want to admit
36. The One Skill That Makes People Instantly Respect You
As much as we sit back and pretend we don’t care what others think, to be respected by our family, friends, partners, colleagues and even strangers is a feeling that makes us feel good.
But there’s one particular skill that makes people instantly respect you, and it has nothing to do with what you look like, the bag you’re carrying, the clothes you wear or who you know.
Instead, it’s how you show up for yourself and if you show up for yourself in the same way you expect others to show up for you. Most people hold others to a higher standard than they hold themselves, and then wonder why they’re not taken seriously.
I know, I know. You should be respected no matter what, but unfortunately, that’s not how society works.
So either you wait another century for the world to wake up, or you play the game, win, then use your newfound power to help change it quickly.
In this article, I’ll walk you through why keeping the promises you make to yourself is the ultimate credibility builder, the consequences of following through versus flaking on yourself, and the mental shift that will change the way you operate in every area of your life.
30. How To Romanticise The Journey To Creating A New You
One thing is for sure, and that’s when you decide to become the best version of yourself, you will eventually return to the version of yourself that you don’t want to be.
Strong start, I know…
But, you need to know these things because if you’re not prepared, how will you overcome the hurdle when you finally approach it?
So, what’s the point? What’s the point of even starting this journey of trying to attract the life you want, the dream position on the corporate ladder, the seven-figure fashion business, the golden retriever husband, the Porsche, the five-bedroom home in Surrey, the class pass to the best Pilates sessions, the Matcha mornings…
Why are we doing any of it if eventually you’re going to go back to the version of yourself that you fantasise about escaping?
Because, despite only 8% of people ever realising their dreams, there is still a chance, and that chance depends on how much you can withstand the process, even after the novelty wears off.
There’s something exciting about starting something new.
New planners, new journal, new workout clothes, a new routine, a new Monday morning. The thrill of rebranding your entire existence, your identity, the way you think, your habits, your standards, and the way you show up for yourself.
But what about when the rush of dopamine falls off?
What happens when your friends are no longer clapping for your commitment to getting in shape? When does being the ‘new you’ become less of a performance and now just a way of life?
This is what no one talks about.
The boring part is when people return their attention to their own lives, achievements, and problems, and it’s just you and you. It’s the stage where it’s easier to go back to the version you know rather than continue with the version that seems a little unsure.
In this article, I’m going to share how to romanticise your rebrand to minimise the risk of returning to a version you no longer want to identify with.
18. Why You’re Still Not Her: The Silent Mindset Blocks Keeping You Small
It’s getting frustrating now, isn’t it?
You’re fed up of thinking about it, visualising it, dreaming about it. Where the hell is it?
Where is the blossoming career? Where is the stronger body? Where is the money? Where is the love? Where are the signs that show I’m at least going the right way?
I hear you.
We all want to be her. The woman who walks into a room and makes it tilt. The woman whose mornings begin with clarity, whose voice doesn’t shake when she speaks, who moves like she knows exactly who she is and what she’s building.
We all want to be who we know we can be, iconic.
But let’s be honest—wanting isn’t enough.
Because between you and that version of yourself stands a quiet war. One that lives in your mind. A battle between the person you were told to be and the person you were born to become.
These mindset blocks aren’t necessarily loud. They don’t shout. They whisper. They sound like your own voice. And they’re the reason you’re not living as your most magnetic, aligned, and powerful self.
I wrote this article with my past self in mind, I guess a letter to the girl who used to feel like she was doing all the right things, but couldn’t figure out why she was still stuck in the same place emotionally.
If you’re there now, I see you. Let’s get into what’s really in the way.
13. How To Jump Timelines to Align With Your Elevated Version
Never in my life will I forget the time I fell out with a group of girls who I grew up with since the age of sixteen. Once made the decision to exit stage left, my life turned right.
At the time, I found it difficult to clearly explain why the connection to them felt as though it had come to an end, and the best reason I could come up with was…
“I think I’ve just outgrown them”
Almost five years on, and I know exactly what was happening. I was ending a cycle and starting another one, I had jumped timelines, to a version of myself where this group didn’t exist.
Quite literally though, to the point where one of the girls lives two blocks away from me and I’ve only bumped into her twice in five years!
That wasn’t the only time I’ve felt stuck in a cycle, or environments, in patterns that no longer reflected the person I knew I was meant to be. But the moment I started understanding how shifting realities works, everything changed.
We often think of time as linear, but what if time was more like a web, with multiple versions of you existing simultaneously?
If you’ve ever watched the film Everything, Everywhere All At Once, you’ll know where I’m going with this.
The idea of jumping timelines is rooted in both quantum physics and spirituality and suggests that we are constantly moving through different versions of reality, and with intentional shifts in energy, thoughts, and actions, we can consciously choose which reality we step into next.
If you feel like you're not living in alignment with your highest self, it’s not because your dream life is impossible, it’s because you’re simply on the wrong timeline.
In this article, I’m going to share my notes on how you can shift, quantum leap and realign with the reality that was meant for you.
12. You’re Not Stuck, You’re Just Addicted To Who You Have Been
You’re Not Changing Your Life—You’re Changing Your Identity
Yes, I’m talking to you, directly to you. The you who always tries to change your life by forcing new habits, and new routines, and judges your world on external circumstances.
You’ve been going through the motions, yet nothing truly sticks.
Why?
Because you’re still operating from the same self-image, the same blueprint of who you believe yourself to be.
Self-image is the filter through which you experience reality. If you believe you are “shy,” you will naturally avoid speaking up. If you identify as someone who is “unlucky in love,” you will sabotage relationships or attract partners who create situations to confirm that belief without even realising it.
If you think of yourself as someone who “just isn’t disciplined,” you will always struggle with consistency.
But the truth is, you don’t need more discipline, motivation, or willpower, you need a new identity.
You don’t “try” to be who you are. You simply act in alignment with the character you believe yourself to be. If you want to change your life, you must rebrand yourself from the core.
In this article, I’m going to show you how…
11. Signs Your Frequency is Shifting
Since everything around us—our thoughts, emotions, and experiences is a result of the energy we project, how often are we shifting between frequencies without even realising it
I remember those days when I would believe manifestation was all about repeating affirmations and visualising until my desires magically appeared. But the more I continued doing the work, I soon realised it was something much deeper and that
Manifestation isn’t about getting what you want—it’s about becoming the version of you who naturally has it.
And that shift only happens when your frequency changes.
Because here’s where so many are getting stuck: most people are handcuffed to their old frequency without even knowing it. They say they want change, but deep down, they are still energetically tied to the version of themselves that doesn’t have it yet. The trick?
In this article, I’m sharing everything I know about seeing the signs that your frequency is shifting and making sure you don’t resist it when it does.
10. The Success Routine That Rewires Your Brain for Abundance
Although I believe in luck, for the most part, success is never an accident, it’s a by-product of our thoughts, habits, and subconscious beliefs.
When I first started diving into personal development, I thought success was about effort, strategy, and discipline. And while those things do matter, I later realised a deeper truth:
Your external reality is a mirror of your internal programming.
Most people try to achieve success by working harder, pushing through resistance, or forcing themselves into new habits. But you can’t change an effect without changing the cause…
And so if your subconscious mind is wired for scarcity, self-doubt, or struggle, you’ll always hit an invisible ceiling, no matter how much action you take. The real transformation happens when you rewire your brain to expect, embody, and attract abundance as your natural state.
I’m not just talking about a nutritious breakfast or going for the old walk around the block, after writing a few gratitude points in your journal, I mean, consistently engaging in a mental reprogramming that shifts your neural pathways and creates lasting change.
In this article, I’m sharing the exact routine that helped me change my mind, quite literally, attract opportunities, and step into my highest self.
