“I think I’ve just outgrown them”
Almost five years on, and I know exactly what was happening. I was ending a cycle and starting another one, I had jumped timelines, to a version of myself where this group of friends didn’t exist.
Quite literally though. One of the girls who lives only two blocks away down from me and I’ve only bumped into her twice in five years! Coincidence, I think not.
That wasn’t the only time I’ve felt stuck in a cycle, or environments, in patterns that no longer reflected the person I knew I was meant to be. But the moment I started understanding how shifting realities works, everything changed.
We often think of time as linear, but what if time was more like a web, with multiple versions of you existing simultaneously?
If you’ve ever watched the film Everything, Everywhere All At Once, you’ll know where I’m going with this.
The idea of jumping timelines is rooted in both quantum physics and spirituality and suggests that we are constantly moving through different versions of reality, and with intentional shifts in energy, thoughts, and actions, we can consciously choose which reality we step into next.
If you feel like you're not living in alignment with your highest self, it’s not because your dream life is impossible, it’s because you’re simply on the wrong timeline.
In this article, I’m going to share my notes on how you can shift, quantum leap and realign with the reality that was meant for you.
How Does Timeline Jumping Work?
To understand timeline shifting, we need to break down the fundamentals:
Parallel Realities Exist at Every Moment - Every possible version of your life is already happening.
The version of you who is wealthy, and the version of you who is poverty-stricken
The version of you who has a successful business and the version of you who is struggling to get your idea off the ground
The version of you who spends most of her time feeling happy and healthy, and the version of you who is always sick, unhealthy and depressed
All of these versions of you exist. There’s a version of you who has everything you desire, and there’s a version who stays exactly where they are.
The only differences between these varying versions are your frequency, your decisions, and your beliefs.
Your Thoughts & Emotions Determine Your Reality - Everything is energy.
And everything in the universe operates and is moving on a particular frequency, including you. You are an electromagnetic being, and the emotions and thoughts you embody daily determine the timeline you're currently on.
If you want to jump timelines and experience another version of yourself, you need to change the way you think and feel about things.
Identity is Everything. You don’t get what you want, you get who you are. If you want to be on a different timeline, you have to shift your self-concept first.
Action Creates Confirmation – Once you mentally and emotionally align with a new timeline, taking action in that direction solidifies the shift.
Signs You’re Ready to Shift Timelines
It’s easy to know you want to jump timelines, but how do you know when you are naturally on the brink of one?
When I think about the plot twists my life has had, there are some patterns I’ve noticed. I love a reinvention as much as the next person, but it’s not even like that. It’s like everything starts to feel off.
I didn’t resonate with my old habits, the way I spoke about my life felt limiting, and deep down, I knew something had to change.
It’s that feeling of having enough with the way things are but not just feeling it, actually wanting to do something about it. If this sounds familiar, you might already be on the verge of a timeline jump.
Here are some common signs that you’re ready:
You feel disconnected from your current life, as if it no longer "fits" who you are becoming
You keep seeing synchronicities (angel numbers, repeated messages, and sudden opportunities)
You feel a calling to make a big shift, even if you don’t know how yet
Your usual environment, habits, or even relationships start feeling energetically heavy
You find yourself questioning old beliefs and ways of thinking
How to Jump Timelines and Align with Your Best Life
1. Clarify the Version of You You’re Aligning With
Where people often go wrong is they try to manifest changes without getting clear on WHO they want to be.
Instead of just thinking about external changes (money, relationships, lifestyle), focus on the identity shift.
What does the version of you on your desired timeline believe?
How does she wake up in the morning?
What is her energy like? What does she focus on?
Your timeline shift starts with an internal decision: I am now becoming this version of myself.
2. Shift Your Inner Dialogue
Never underestimate the conversations you have with yourself, they are the most important conversations you’ll ever have.
And so, one of the fastest ways to step into a new reality is to change the way you talk to yourself. Your inner dialogue can either reinforce your current timeline or move you to a better one.
Stop speaking about limitations as if they are facts.
Affirm the new identity you’re stepping into: I always receive what I desire. Life moves effortlessly in my favour. Things always work out for me.
Catch yourself when you slip into old beliefs and redirect immediately.
3. Embody the Feelings of the New Timeline
This is the real secret to jumping timelines. The universe responds to how you feel NOW, not what you want later.
Stop waiting for friends, family, Mondays, weekends, 1st of the month to decide to change. The time is now or never!
If you want to be in a reality where you are financially free, in love, and thriving, you have to feel it before it physically manifests.
Listen to music that matches the vibe of your new timeline.
Use sensory visualisation to experience your new reality in the present.
Regulate your nervous system so that your subconscious feels safe receiving what you want.
I do this in my own life countless of times. When I want to shift into a more abundant timeline, I start acting and feeling abundant before the money shows up. I’m not even focused on money or finances, I stay focused on alignment and feeling good.
Instead of focusing on what I didn’t have, I leaned into the frequency of already having it. Then, the money, the clients, the purchases and the ease all start appearing effortlessly.
4. Take Aligned Action
I want to be very clear, taking action on two things here:
Life is a mental game; if you want to experience something physically, you must experience it mentally
When it’s time to take action, it shouldn’t feel forced. It should feel easy and natural
Every decision you make is either reinforcing your current timeline or moving you to a better one.
Ask yourself:
What actions does the version of me on my ideal timeline take daily?
What habits does she have?
What does she say no to?
Then, start doing those things now. This might mean:
Changing the way you interact with people whether it’s family members, friends, work colleagues
Elevating your morning routine
Creating a consistent workout schedule
Investing your money into stocks, shares, real estate, or starting a new business
Align yourself to your higher self by aligning your actions.
5. Trust & Let Go of the Old Timeline
How annoying is it when you promise someone you’ll do something for them and they keep watching over you asking questions like:
“Have you done it yet?
“Is it finished?”
“How much longer?”
“I can do it myself if you can’t do it”
That’s what you sound like when you don’t trust that the universe will bring you what you want.
Here’s where most people struggle, they make the energetic shift but keep checking back to see if reality has changed yet.
When you keep looking for "proof" that your reality is shifting, you’re still operating from the old frequency, which is keeping you stuck in your current timeline.
Stop identifying with your past struggles.
Release attachment to "how" the shift will happen.
Keep aligning with the new you, even when external reality lags.
The moment I learned to truly trust the process was when everything clicked. I stopped looking for signs and just became the version of me who had it all.
And like clockwork, my reality is slowly but surely following.
