How To Master Manifesting the Life You Really Want

Despite popular belief, manifesting what you really want isn't just about thinking positively. I wish it were, it would be so much easier, right?

Whether you're new to manifestation or have been practising for years, there are some fundamental techniques and behaviours which will give you what you need to take ‘goal setting’ to the next level.

Learning to manifest in alignment means reprogramming your mind to a new way of thinking until it feels like a natural way of thinking.

Keep reading to unlock a toolbox full of techniques and master manifesting the life you really want.

Write It Down

There’s something to be said for taking your goals from the mind to pen, and then to paper.

When you write down your goals, you subconsciously create powerful feelings towards the thought of actually achieving them.

Treat yourself to a new and beautiful notebook which really means something to you when you look at it. After all, this is where you’ll keep all your hopes and dreams.

Next, be specific.

It’s not enough to state you want a new car; which car? What does it look like?

  • What is the colour?

  • Which model?

  • How many doors does it have?

  • Is it an automatic or manual?

  • Is it new or used?

  • What’s the first letter in the registration plate?

Get clear and detailed about what you want.

Visualisation

Writing down your goals is a powerful action tool towards to seeing successful results but there’s also another method which is just as powerful not even more.

You may have heard of the famous saying:

‘If you can see it in your mind, you will hold it in your hand’.
— Bob Proctor

Visualising yourself living the life you truly want gives the confidence and self-belief you need to know you can receive what you've set out to achieve,

As you practice this technique of imagining, your mind starts to orchestrate how the scene you have imagined will come into fruition.

How to Visualise

So now you have the details of what car you want.

To start visualising, let’s set the scene.

Create a picture in your mind of driving the car of your dreams,

How does it feel? Don’t be shy, it’s your car.

How does it feel when your hands are wrapped around the steering wheel, and you see the logo at the centre? Can you feel the leather? Really live in the moment and get into the details of it too.

Use all of your five senses to magnify the experience. What can you see, smell, and touch?

See - What is the view out of the front window? Can you see the radio in the dashboard? A satnav?

Smell - I know you know that new car smell! Or have you put a car air freshener in? What is the fragrance?

Touch - What does the steering wheel feel like?

Hear - What or who can you hear while you’re in the car? Are they taking selfies, or are you both engaged in a conversation?

Taste - As excited as you are for manifesting your new car, I doubt you’ll be licking the windows, but maybe you have a cup holder for drinks? What drink is it?

Vision Boards

Another great way to visualise your goals is to create a vision board. This is so much fun and so easy to do.

Collect a stack of magazines and brochures featuring images of your dream lifestyle, source some art materials such as a large cardboard, marker pens and glue from a craft shop, and cut out images from the magazines that relate to your goals.

Remember, this doesn’t just work for your dream car. You can use this technique for your dream career, your ideal relationship, a new home, etc.

Create a collage by sticking everything you cut out to a large board, place the board somewhere prominent so you can easily see it every day and get the feeling of already achieving the lifestyle you’ve created.

If, like me, you’d rather go the digital route than hop on to Pinterest and search and create vision boards which reflect your dream life.

Try not to become too obsessed with your board, but use it as a tool to keep your thoughts on track and aligned with the version of yourself you want to be.

Take Inspired Action

One of the most important things to remember when setting goals is that nothing will fall into your lap.

You must take action and move in the direction of what you want.

You want that dream car? Go and test drive it.

Do you want to learn a new language? Book that course.

Don’t have the money to book that course? Create a savings pot to pay for it.

The more you practice visualising your dream, the more you be sent downloads of inspiration on how manifest it. But it takes more than visualising.

When you receive these downloads of inspiration, act.

If you want to go further in your career, reach out to people who might be able to help you.

Fortune favours the bold.

Send them an email asking for advice on how to enter the industry. Be prepared not to be answered or to be rejected; it’s not a nice feeling, but if you’re not expecting a response, then you’ve got nothing to lose.

Taking inspired action might require you to come outside of your comfort zone, but as George Addair said:

Everything you’ve ever wanted is on the other side of fear
— George Addir

Celebrate Every Win

On your journey to manifesting what you really want you will achieve smaller goals along the way.

These are moments to be celebrated.

You may not have won the Grammy, yet. But your local radio station is playing your music, that’s both a win and a step in the right direction.
